If any assistance is required with locating the shuttles, passengers can find one of the airport ambassadors, who are dressed in brick-red blazers. They can comfortably accommodate a number of passengers and their luggage items. The shuttles are grey in colour, available every two to five minutes and are free of charge. Passengers arriving at any of the three terminal buildings will find shuttle buses outside for transport to the rental car centre. There is no central terminal building at present, but in the future the airport may redevelop Terminal A and create a large central area for all airport operations. Each terminal has a number of airline gates, and is served by a few airline companies. Currently there are three terminals, referred to as A, B and C, and each is equipped with its own facilities for baggage claim and check-in procedures. Their offices are along London Drive, at the new rental car centre that was built in 2007 instead of another ‘ring’ terminal building. These companies include Dollar, a favourite amongst leisure and business travellers.ĭollar at this airport is open from 06:00am to 12:00am every day of the week.

The airport is modern, with three large terminal buildings, and has recently received a new car rental facility where all the Kansas City International Airport car hire companies are found. It is not a hub for any airline company, but does offer many flights by Southwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines. It serves Kansas City in the state of Missouri. Kansas City International Airport is a busy airport in the United States of America, and because it was formerly known as the Mid-Continent International Airport, its IATA code is MCI.
